Protect Your PTC Site Credentials
It is so easy to get caught up in the whole money making process with paid to click sites and overlook safety of your accounts. Many times we become preoccupied with getting referrals, making sure you are active at certain sites to get credit for your referral clicks, paying your refbacks, and so on, that we ignore the possibility that our ptc assets are vulnerable. Let’s take a look at some of the things we should do to make our ptc site accounts safer.
Don’t Use The Same Password At Every PTC Site
Many PTC sites do not encrypt user passwords in their database. A big part of the reason is because they are usually born from the same clone script or something very similar. If one of the sites that you belong to gets hacked, your username and password are in the hands of the hackers. If you have the same credentials at another site, the hackers will have easy access to other accounts. All they have to do is go down the list of usernames from the database they hacked and try them at other ptc sites. For this reason you should use different passwords and usernames if possible at every site that you join. Of course many people sign up under many sites, so at the very least, make sure you have different passwords at the sites you have a fair amount of money invested.
Unique Password For Your Payment Processors
Do not use a password that you used at a ptc site for the same reasons as listed above. This however is even worse since you are giving the hacker access to your real money, personal information and potentially credit card and bank accounts. Payment processor passwords need to be unique and complicated.
Secure Web Browser
While the majority of Internet users browse with Internet Explorer as their web browser, this fact leaves them more vulnerable to hacks. Internet Explorer is far less safe then a browser such as Firefox from Mozilla. Not only is Firefox more secure, it also has some nice features and many add-ons that can be downloaded to make it even more functional. Firefox is much easier to configure as far as security is concerned and also has many exploitable functions turned off by default as opposed to Internet Explorer which is much more complicated to secure and just about everything is on by default. Add to the fact that IE is much more well known and thus a bigger target for those that want to exploit users in general. Firefox on the other hand is based on open-source architecture and anyone who is proficient in its programming code can help to detect and relay information about exploits to the vast community which in turn can get revisions more readily.

Avoid Scam PTC Sites
What’s even worse then a ptc site you belong to getting hacked? Joining a ptc site that has no intention of paying its members and will use its own database of users accounts and passwords at other sites. This in hopes that the users are using the same credentials. There are many things to look out for when trying to decide whether a site is legit or not.
